Abstract

Abstract : K. J. Liu, T.‐H. Wang and co‐workers report a novel magnetic thermoplastic silica material called Nanobind on page 10630. Nanobind employs a jellyfish tentacle binding mechanism to perform high yield extraction of ultra high molecular weight genomic DNA. It is fabricated using an easily‐scaled, heat‐shrinking process to generate a high density of microscale folds and nanoscale silica lamellae that harbor DNA from shear force exposure and enable binding of vast amounts of reference quality DNA.
