- Abstract:
- This paper starts by asking why we should even bother about the ethics of globalisation, or, indeed, the ethics of any institution or public policy. It then outlines the antagonism towards globalisation and the importance of tackling the ethics of the matter. It is not enough to simply show that globalisation reaps economic advantages for most of those who are affected by it. The more vital question is, "Is globalisation a process that is in accord with certain basic values and moral standards of human life and should we, therefore, support it? Or do the many critics have a decisive point against it?"
