Abstract

Abstract : In article number1801996, Zhiguo Qu, Tony Jun Huang, and co‐workers develop an acoustic‐based fluorescence‐activated cell sorter (FACS), in which cells are focused and deflected by standing surface acoustic waves, and are detected with an in‐plane optical fiber system. The cell‐focusing, cell‐detection, and cell‐deflection units of the FACS are integrated onto a small chip and work cooperatively to sort mammalian cells with high throughput and biocompatibility.
