- Abstract: Symmetric and non-symmetric tetraethynylethene derivatives possessing nucleophilic groups were synthesized and subjected to gold catalysts. By a fourfold nucleophilic tandem cyclization extended π-systems like carbazolocarbazoles are accessible in high efficiency and in complete atom economy. Graphical abstract:
