- Abstract: This study focuses on surface roughness evaluation of SUPER DUPLEX 2507 stainless steel in dry and wet machining condition. Dryand wet milling experiments were conducted with three levels of cutting speed, feed rate and constant axial depth of cut. The effects of these cutting parameters on the surface roughness in dry and wet machining condition are evaluated. The multiple regression analysis has been applied to find the relationship between surface roughness and cutting parameters. The regression equation revealed that the feed rate is the most dominant factor that influences the surface roughness followed by the cutting speed. It is also concluded that surface finish obtained in wet machining is much better compared to dry machining.
