- ABSTRACT: Using the water of lignite as gasification agent, this paper mainly studies the influence of microwave and isothermal gasification on the syngas production and H2 /CO ratio to obtain the maximum possible amount of high-quality syngas. The results show that microwave heating produced syngas had an immensely superior performance over conventional heating. The total gas yields of 1, 000 W microwave gasification is 1.75 times more than that of the 1, 000°C isothermal gasification. Moreover, the values of H2 /CO ratio obtained from microwave gasification was higher than 1, 000°C isothermal gasification.
