Abstract

Highlights: Critically ill patients with severe renal insufficiency are at risk for venous thromboembolism. These patients are at risk for anticoagulation bioaccumulation. We achieved the minimum monthly recruitment target; a larger study is likely feasible. Bioaccumulation of enoxaparin was not demonstrated.
