Abstract

Abstract : The synthesis of fluorinated β‐diketimine LH1 (L = HC[C(CF3 )NC6 F5 ]2 ) and its reactions with main‐group‐metal and transition‐metal complexes, yielding LAlMe2 4, LZnEt5, LCu(C6 D6 )6 and LCuCO7, is reported.1 –7 were characterized by IR and NMR spectroscopy ( 1 H, 13 C, 19 F), elemental analysis and single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. The C6 F5 substituents strongly reduce the π‐back‐bonding capacity of the β‐diketiminate ligand as was shown for7 by IR spectroscopy. Abstract : Aluminum, zinc and copper complexes of fluorinated β‐diketimine LH1 (L = HC[C(CF3 )NC6 F5 ]2 ) were synthesized and structurally characterized. The influence of the electron‐withdrawing ligand on the π‐back‐bonding of the metal atom was shown for the copper carbonyl complex LCuCO7 .
