Nanostructured Cathodes: Tailoring the Cathode–Electrolyte Interface with Nanoparticles for Boosting the Solid Oxide Fuel Cell Performance of Chemically Stable Proton‐Conducting Electrolytes (Small 32/2018)
Abstract : Depositing PBCO nano‐particles on Y‐doped BaZrO3 (BZY) backbones as cathodes for proton‐conducting solid oxide fuel cells provides a powerful strategy to improve the BZY‐based fuel cell performance below 600 °C, allowing a high cell performance for this chemically‐stable electrolyte. In article number1801231, Lei Bi, Enrico Traversa, and co‐workers demonstrate that keeping the particle size at the nanometer range is more important than keeping the desired chemical phase.
