- Abstract : Methane aromatization was effectively improved by a simple composite catalyst consisting of Mo/HZSM-5 for methane dehydroaromatization and CGO for hydrogen combustion. Abstract : A simple composite catalyst was proposed for the first time for methane aromatization, consisting of Mo/HZSM-5 for methane dehydroaromatization (MDA) and Ce0.9 Gd0.1 O y (CGO) for hydrogen combustion. The redox properties of CGO and its high selectivity towards hydrogen oxidation enable an efficient periodic MDA reaction/regeneration process, leading to improved methane aromatization.
