Abstract

Highlights: This longitudinal study examined brain changes after olanzapine treatment in BPD. We found improvement in symptoms and increased brain metabolism post-treatment. We found correlations between symptom improvement and metabolism changes. We are the first to report metabolic changes related to medication treatment in BPD. We provide a starting point for understanding neural mechanisms of olanzapine treatment.
