- Abstract:
- Working with refugees and asylum seekers can be a challenging, yet rewarding, part of a GP's workload. They can be a vulnerable group, with complex medical and social needs that can be difficult to deal with in a 10-minute consultation. Since a GP is often their first point of contact in the community, having a better understanding of the common issues and how to manage these can have a great impact on the lives of refugees.
