Translation abstract: Why does a silver‐colored fractal grow at the anode during electrolysis of a silver nitrate solution? At school, the concentration of the electrolyte is often quite low, so that the peculiar phenomenon cannot be observed. According to theory, the formation and growth of dendritic silver appears only at the cathode, but as soon as higher concentrations of the electrolyte and an appropriate experimental set up are used, it seems as if additional silver dendrites grow at the anode. The experiments described below let readers immerse themselves in the world of higher oxidation states of silver and allow them to gain an insight into the esthetic microstructures of silver fractals.
