Abstract

Abstract : This study introduces the novel fabrication of auxiliary electrodes using silver (Ag) inkjet printing for OLED lighting. Generally, inkjet printing has limits to feature size and resolution due to nozzle size, jetting volume and ink spread. To fabricate narrow auxiliary electrodes, this study introduces a unique line width control method using a hydrophilic track formed by spreading barriers. The grid‐like auxiliary electrodes were fabricated by directly‐patterning of Ag conductive line and insulator. The most densely fabricated grid electrode has the line width of 18 µm, the space distance of 0.15 mm. For the feasibility test of the developed grid‐like auxiliary electrode, we fabricated OLED lighting using ITO electrode substrates printed with the grid‐like auxiliary electrode.
