Abstract

Abstract : ( Am J Obstet Gynecol . 2017;217(3):237–248.e16) The prevalence of preeclampsia has risen over the past 30 years, in part due to increasing maternal age and the increasing rate of obesity in the United States. Preeclampsia is associated with maternal and neonatal morbidity, mortality and many adverse outcomes. This study aimed to explore the extent of the annual health and cost burden of preeclampsia in the United States in 2012.
