Abstract

Abstract : A series of aryl-fused bis-BN dihydropyrenes are synthesized, their photophysical properties are fully investigated by experimental and theoretical calculations. Abstract : A series of aryl-fused bis-BN dihydropyrenes were synthesized via amino-directed borylation reaction. The aryl-fused bis-BN dihydropyrenes showed blue emission, and their physical properties could be finely tuned through varying the fused aryl rings. In particular, their response towards fluoride anions was greatly dependent on the nature of the fused aryl rings.
