Abstract

Abstract : Amorphous cerium oxalate precipitates as a primary transient precursor for the crystalline phase by means of a binodal phase separation. Abstract : Amorphous cerium oxalate is characterized and reported here for the first time as a primary nucleating transient precursor for a more stable crystalline hydrated phase, at high supersaturation and in strong acid solutions. Preliminary results point out an initial binodal phase separation leading to precipitation.
