- Abstract:
- Highlights: Science fiction (sf) novels provide a critical perspective on urban futures currently under construction. Vertical urbanism demands greater consideration by architects and designers. The experience of vertigo is an embodied and experiential reaction to the ground-less vertical city. Reading sf allows for empathetic engagement with the emotional experience of vertigo. Imaginative inhabitation provides insight into the emotional impact of building high.
