Abstract

Abstract : On the Design of Point Fixed Glazing with Countersunk Fittings. Design concepts for point‐fixed glazing were included in the standardization, subject to certain boundary conditions. Countersunk point fittings have been an exception. The different geometry of the countersunk head and clamping plate, the variable bore diameter over the thickness of the pane as well as the rubber‐elastic point fitting washers make it difficult to model the fixing in the static system. This article attempts i.a. to eliminate these uncertainties by providing well‐founded criteria for the numerical calculation model and thus to create a basis for the extension of existing standards. The basis for this is the thesis „Untersuchungen zu punktgestützten Verglasungen mit Senkkopfhaltern" [1] by the author.
