- Efficiencies analysis is both an important area and one where research efforts can be particularly productive. Thinking of efficiencies and competitive effects together as components of a unified analysis is a productive conceptual framework and one that may yield methodological advances. The increased availability of detailed data, combined with increased attention to methods for analyzing efficiencies, have the potential for increasing insights and advancing enforcement.
