Abstract

ABSTRACT: This article is devoted to Nicholas Rodionoff's legacy. An alumnus of the Polytechnic Institute in Petrograd, he arrived in the USA in 1923. In 1925, he was employed to process Russian materials (the Yudin Collection) held in the Library of Congress. In 1930–1944, he headed its Slavic Division. For more than a decade, he continued working in the various units of the library. Alongside other émigré scholars, including A. Babine, M. Vinokuroff, and S. Yakobson, he created the largest collection of Cyrillic books, serials, and manuscripts outside of Russia.
