Abstract : A novel multiple heterostructure photonic crystal (MHPC) structure with stopbands overlapping and broadening was demonstrated by Shengyang Tao and co‐workers (see article number1701344 ). The MHPC with a super‐wide stopband can simultaneously overlap the excitation and emission wavelength of most fluorescent media and achieve universal fluorescence enhancement, indicating its potential to serve as a fluorescence enhancement sensing platform for the accurate detection of Cr(VI) down to 0.2 ppb.
