Graphical abstract: Five previously undescribed and eleven known cembrane diterpenoids were isolated from Sinularia flexibilis . Abstract: Five new cembrane diterpenoids (1 –5 ), together with eleven known diterpenoids (6 –16 ), were isolated from the South China Sea soft coral Sinularia flexibilis . Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data analysis (1D and 2D NMR and MS). In addition, the isolates were examined for their ability to inhibit the LPS-induced NO and TNF-α production in the macrophage-like RAW264.7 cells.
