- Abstract: The Organometallic single crystals of Cesium hydrogen Tartrate (CT) were grown by slow evaporation solution growth technique. Well defined crystals were obtained with good morphology at pH value of 4. Powder X-ray diffraction studies were performed to confirm the cell parameters of CT. Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR) and Fourier Transform Raman spectral (FT-Raman) study were used to confirm the functional groups present in the grown crystal. The thermal stability of the compound was investigated by TG/DTA analyses. The suitability of crystal for optical absorption was studied by UV–vis-NIR spectroscopy. The mechanical and Dielectric behaviors of the grown crystal were also studied. The etching technique was used to study the dislocations in the single crystals. Most of the grown crystals sized from about 5 × 4 × 2 mm. Cesium hydrogen Tartrate (CT) were found to crystallise in the orthorhombic crystal system with the space group of P21 21 21 and lattice parameters; a = 8.0855 Å; b = 11.6698 Å; c = 7.6289 Å; V = 719.833 Å 3 . The second order nonlinear optical (NLO) property of the crystal was confirmed by the modified Kurtz-Perry powder technique, Second harmonic conversion efficiency was found to be 1.5 times that of KDP.
