- Abstract : A dissymmetric, soluble, porous organic cage from a low-cost racemic precursor. Abstract : Two dissymmetric racemic analogues of the chiral porous organic cage, CC3, were isolated and unambiguously characterised as a racemate pair of the R, R, R, S, S, S and S, S, S, R, R, R -diastereomers (CC3 - RS andCC3 - SR ).CC3 - RS /CC3 - SR equals the highest porosity measured forCC3 but is an order of magnitude more soluble, making it an excellent candidate for incorporation into a membrane for separation applications.
