Abstract

Abstract : It's estimated that about 80 percent of all asset information is geographically referenced, so a geographic information system (GIS) allows utility operators and managers to determine where their assets are located as well as analyze information about those assets. As a result, a GIS can reveal important information that leads to better decision making.
