Abstract

Abstract: A CAD matching network synthesizer using a parametric approach of real frequency technique is designed and implemented in this paper. The parametric approach we implemented is based on the real frequency direct computational technique (RFDT) in terms of its expression of the transducer power gain, but with improved computational time and numerical stability because the immittance function of the lossless equalizer is modeled using a parametric Brune function. This approach inherits all the merits of the RFDT, and hence can provide optimized solutions for both double and single matching problems. User also has the option to define the topology of the desirable matching network. The designed synthesizer is then implemented to solve a double matching problem utilizing various topologies. The effectiveness of designed matching networks is verified in ADS (advanced design system) simulation and different topologies are compared.
