Main Title:
Serial evaluation of serum total reduction power potential by cyclic voltammetry in 30 dogs with gastric dilatation and volvulus- a randomised, controlled (lidocaine vs placebo), clinical trial
Highlights: The pathogenesis of canine GDV includes oxidative stress. Cyclic voltammetry can assist in assessing total reduction capacity of the serum in dogs with GDV. Oxidative stress parameters are correlated to gastric wall necrosis and outcome in canine GDV. Lidocaine can negate the decrease in total reduction potential.
