Abstract

Abstract : Abstract: Metastatic melanoma (MM) has the potential to involve virtually any anatomical site, and it also has a wide spectrum of histological appearances. In some instances, MM also may be unassociated with a prior history of mucocutaneous melanoma, presenting for the first time with distant spread to lymph nodes or viscera. General clinicopathologic data pertaining to MM are presented in this review, together with a discussion of its differential diagnosis and treatment.
