- Abstract:
- Advances in melanoma research include targeted therapy with a combination of BRAF and MEK inhibitors that improves clinical outcomes, including reducing cutaneous toxicities. Anti–programmed cell death 1/programmed death ligand 1 therapy is the latest immunotherapy that produces durable responses. A combination of programmed cell death 1 blockade with BRAF inhibition led to unacceptable liver toxicity.
