Abstract : (Abstracted from Eur J Obstet Gynecol Reprod Biol 2017;216:56–60) Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB) is among the most common types of bariatric surgery for inducing weight loss by restricting the gastric volume and promoting malabsorption of nutrients. Often RYGB is performed in women of childbearing potential.
