Abstract

Abstract : ( BJOG. 2017;124:1246–1253) A timely referral of high-risk obstetric patients to large volume delivery hospitals could contribute significantly to reducing obstetrical and neonatal complications. Severe preeclampsia is a major risk factor for maternal mortality and serious obstetrical complications. However, it remains unclear whether an association exists between hospital delivery volume and maternal complications due to severe preeclampsia. This retrospective cohort study aimed to examine the associations between severe preeclampsia and adverse outcomes based on annualized hospital delivery volume.
