- Abstract: Many people lack opportunities to participate in art programs which connect their lives to a bigger community. Through the description of five case studies for underprivileged people, community-based art projects show the positive impact on people lives. All participants, as a group of individuals, realized the importance of connecting to other people, and developed the joy of accomplishment and the sense of responsibility for their community via the process of creation of artworks.
