- Abstract: We report the chemoselective amination of bromoiodobenzenes with diarylamines by palladium/Xantphos or a ligand-free copper catalyst. The reactions by these two types of catalysts proceeded with a high chemoselectivity and afforded monobrominated triarylamines in good yields. These products are useful intermediates for the synthesis of unsymmetrical bistriarylamines. Graphical abstract:
