- Abstract : In article number1700142, Moon‐Ho Jo, Ho Won Jang and co‐workers directly synthesize a 3D molybdenum disulfide (MoS2 ), which acts as a catalyst for hydrogen evolution reaction, on the TiO2 ‐coated p‐type Si photocathode for solar water splitting. The fabricated photocathodes exhibit excellent performances in photoelectrochemical hydrogen evolution reaction due to the advantages of 3D MoS2, which reduces the overpotential of Si photocathode by abundant edge sites exposed to the ambient and increases the absorption of sun light by antireflection effect. This strategy paves the way for the development of efficient catalysts for solar water splitting, the so called artificial photosynthesis.
