Abstract:: Abstract: Potentially bioactive (E)‐3‐styrylquinolin‐4(1H)‐ones are synthesized by the Heck reaction of 3‐iodo‐1‐methylquinolin‐4(1H)‐one with styrenes in water and with ohmic heating.
