- Abstract : Cocaine-associated environmental cues can precipitate craving and relapse in addicted individuals even after years of abstinence, but the molecular mechanisms by which maladaptive drug memories are generated remain unclear. New findings suggest that histone deacetylase 5 (HDAC5) plays a key role in this process.
