- Abstract : In article number1702982, Carlos Escobedo and co‐workers reveal that magnetotaxis enables directed motion of magnetotactic bacteria (MTB) in flows relevant to aquatic environments and biomedical applications. The ability of MTB to overcome a current is influenced by the magnetic field, the flow velocity, and their relative orientation. Magnetotaxis allows simultaneous guidance of multiple MTB along predefined paths in physiologically relevant flows, providing an opportunity for in vivo applications of MTB in targeted drug delivery.
