Abstract

Abstract : Re(vii )-based M3 ReO8 (M = Y, La, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Dy, Yb) semiconductors have been found to be visible-light-responsive photocatalysts for water oxidation. Abstract : Re(vii )-based M3 ReO8 (M = Y, La, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Dy, Yb) semiconductors have been found to be visible-light-responsive photocatalysts for water oxidation. The low conduction band minimum was mainly composed of Re 5d orbitals, which allowed the semiconductors to utilize visible light up to 500–550 nm.
