- Graphical abstract: Abstract: A simple, highly efficient and environmentally benign method for the synthesis of quinoxalines has been developed using a green and recyclable catalyst Amberlite IR-120H resin under solvent-free conditions. This method avoids environmentally harmful conventional organic solvents. Interestingly, the catalyst can be recovered after completion of the reaction and can be reused as the catalytic property of the resin is not effected even up to four cycles. Therefore, this method provides a green and much improved protocol over the existing methods.
