Abstract

Abstract: The problem of stochastic modeling of trafic of abstract agents on a graph is considered. The key function to be estimated is the Probability Distribution function (PDF) that reflects the probability that a given number of agents are located at a given node at a given moment. Once this function is constructed, other statistical characteristics of trafic can be easily derived. A methodology for recurrent estimation of the PDF is proposed and analytically justified. A numerical comparison with agent-based models confirms the accuracy of the model.
