Abstract

Abstract : Synthetic talc refers mainly to three kinds of materials, namely crystalline nanotalc, short‐range order nanotalc and organotalc. Up to date, there is one principal method of synthesis for each of them, the hydrothermal treatment, the precipitation and the sol–gel methods, respectively. There is an increasing range of applications for these innovative materials: cosmetic, polymer nanocomposites, anticorrosion coatings. For more details see the Review article by F. Martin, C.
