- Abstract : US-based inorganic pigment specialist Shepherd Color has announced that the so-called 'YInMn Blue' technology, which it licensed from Oregon State University (OSU) in 2015 [ ADPO, July 2015], is now commercially available in the form of new pigment Blue 10G513. The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has granted the company a low volume exemption (LVE), applicable for certain new chemicals manufactured in volumes of ≤10 000 kg/year, allowing the new pigment to be manufactured and marketed for use in industrial coatings and plastics.
