- Abstract : A partnership between BASF, the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) and NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in the USA has developed a new tool to help maximize the service life of plastic products by precisely matching the dosage levels of light stabilizers to the predicted intensity of UV radiation in different parts of the world. The tool is based on an extensive set of maps showing global UV radiation levels created by scientists at the two space agencies.
