- Abstract: Arbitrary definable test sequences are required in many scientific applications. One example is the study of phenomena in elastomeric materials, like Mullins effect, Payne effect, relaxation and creep behavior, where well defined testing curves need to be applied. The main objective of this contribution is the extension of a testing machine control of ZWICK/Roell for modeling freely definable test sequences, which are not feasible with the standard software. To this end, the testing machine control is extended by an external target value control, which enables the application of polynomial courses, sinus sweeps, zigzag sweeps or any other physically relevant curve shapes. Moreover, a smooth transition between different curve shapes is enabled, i.e. undesired holding times and linear ramps between amplitude and offset changes are avoided.
