Abstract

Abstract : The Front Cover shows a synthetic strategy for the formation of biologically relevant 2, 3‐disubstituted free (NH)‐indoles based on the rhodium(III)‐catalyzed C–H functionalization and intramolecular annulation between azobenzenes and internal olefins. Notably, all synthetic compounds were evaluated for in‐vitro anticancer activity against human endometrial adenocarcinoma cells (Ishikawa), triple negative human breast cancer cells (MDA‐MB‐231), and human renal cancer cells (Caki‐1). In particular, some of the synthesized indoles displayed potent cytotoxic effects that were competitive with the anticancer agent doxorubicin. More information can be found in theFull Paper by I. S.
