Abstract

Abstract: Harzianols A−E (2–6 ) and harziane acid (7 ), six new oxidized derivatives of harzianone (1 ), were obtained from the microbial transformation by a bacterial strain Bacillus sp. IMM-006. The structures of these products, including the stereochemistry, were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic analysis. The absolute configuration of2 was unambiguously determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Moreover, a plausible bioconversion pathway was proposed. Graphical abstract:
