- Abstract : (Abstracted from N Engl J Med 2017;376:2341–2348) Neonates born to women who are addicted to opioids are at high risk of developing neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS). Traditional treatment commonly includes the use of morphine, but this treatment often leads to a prolonged hospitalization.
