- Abstract : Using atomic layer deposition to conformally coat a thin film of CeO2 on particles of LiMn2 O4 (LMO), a typical cathode material in lithium ion batteries, X. Liang and co‐workers achieve a significant reduction in the initial capacity fade of electrochemical cells as well as improved stability, as described in article 1500046. This strategy can be applied to other cathode and anode materials for applications that demand long cycle life performance.
