- Abstract: The performance of building envelope is important to maintain proper temperature and humidity in the room. The heat and moisture transfer in the multilayered building envelope component are studied by founding a transient HAM model. The numerical results indicated that relative humidity varied with location and time in the envelope. Away from the outside surface, condensation or evaporation will occur to maintain the balance of vapor. Affected by the moisture transfer, temperature is lower than that without considering moisture transfer.
